Him
A film composer, Lui (Guillaume Canet), suffering writer's block, escapes to a secluded house on the Brittany coast to regain his inspiration in solitude. There he finds an old, out-of-tune piano and receives visits from people in his life - his estranged wife (Virginie Efira), his mistress (Laetitia Casta), his friend (Mathieu Kassovitz), his parents (Nathalie Baye, Patrick Chesnais), his doctor (Gilles Cohen) and even a double or alter ego of himself - who won't let him compose alone. Instead, the visitors precipitate an epiphany and a reclamation of his self. Indeed, they seem to understand "Him" better than he understands himself, almost as if they are somehow inside his own head. Written by Ronald Bruce Meyer
