The Skin Game
Mr. Hornblower, an up-and-coming industrialist, is buying up land in the county, much to the disgust of the old money Hillcrists. They previously sold a property to Hornblower with the proviso that the current tenants would not be evicted and now he's kicking them out so that he can build on the land. After a bit of skulduggery at the auction, Hornblower buys up a prized piece of land, further cementing his hold on the region.
