The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Dr. Henry Jekyll has concocted a chemical cocktail hoping to separate the two beings he believes exist in each person - one good and the other evil. His intent was to free the upright side from evil influences so that humans could do more for our imperfect world. Unfortunately, he accomplishes just the opposite, the evil side is turned loose on society in the form of Mr. Edward Hyde. The first time he tries the potion he goes to The Windmill Music Hall and meets the dancing girl Gwendelyn Thomas. He soon becomes addicted to the excesses he enjoys as Hyde. When one of Gwyn's admirers plots to mug Hyde, he out maneuvers them using a heavy cane with a sword in its shaft. Gwyn gets set up with her own house. Eventually, he has no need to take the transforming potion to become Hyde. And it takes more anti-potion to return him to his Dr Jekyll form. Stryker, a colleague who synthesized an important part of the reversing recipe, tries to blackmail him. He has followed Hyde and knows the whole story. Hyde kills him in a fit of anger. When Gwyn tries to manipulate Jekyll, he spontaneously becomes Hyde and strangles her. Using his last bit of reversing formula, Jekyll tells his solicitor, George Devlin, to help him escape. Devlin knows that the murders were ultimately Jekyll's responsibility and seeks police aide. Written by Garon Smith
