The Wedding Rule
When Gemma and Max were in high school, they were co-workers at Rosa's Restaurant. The two were close but never got together, and they lost touch after graduation. Years later, Rosa dies, and she leaves Gemma and Max the restaurant in her will. However, there is one stipulation: they have to get married to someone within three weeks in order to claim the inheritance. If both of them are still single, the restaurant will be demolished. Gemma and Max want the restaurant, not only to preserve Rosa's legacy but also for their own careers. Gemma's work in marketing doesn't allow her time to bake, which is her true passion. Max is dissatisfied with his job as a sous chef and would like to make his own dishes as a head chef. They both try to find a spouse, going on numerous dates with strangers. They also spend time planning Rosa's memorial. While working together, Gemma and Max start to get close again. However, as they continue to date other people, both of them may have trouble seeing what's been in front of them all along. Written by Patrick Lin
